Adhesives
The adhesive is a critical element of a label construction. The label adhesive bonds the materials to the surface of a product. There are many types of adhesives, including acrylic, rubber, and thermoset/elastomeric, just to name a few. To make the proper choice, you must consider the type of surface on which the pressure sensitive label will be applied, its composition, the service environment, the temperature range it will see, the label's appearance in use, and performance requirements. By choosing the correct adhesive for your application, with an appropriate balance of features, you can manufacture a dependable label and achieve the necessary performance to meet the most demanding applications.

Compliant Labels and Labeling Systems
VisionMark Designs and Produces Labels Certified to Recognized Standards. VisionMark can provide you with labels and nameplates using UL® (UL® 969, UL® 299, and UL® 2166) and CSA® approved label constructions. VisionMark labels also comply with NFPA® 1901 and ANSI® 535.4 graphic specifications. We design and manufacture UID labels using open or proprietary formatted bar codes. Finally, we produce RFID encoded and verified labeling systems using EPC global Class 1 Gen 2 (version 1.2.0) compliant products and equipment.
Our UL® labels, UL® Nameplates, CSA® Labels, and CSA® Namplates constructions include polyesters (Mylar®), polycarbonates (Lexan®), vinyl, polypropylene, and many other substrates. These regulatory bodies certified our label and nameplate products for both indoor and outdoor uses, for use in or near water, high and low temperature, UV radiation, gasoline and other solvents, cooking oils, detergents, and fuel oils.
These engineered label and nameplate constructions adhere to painted parts including powder coated surfaces, aluminum, stainless steel. ABS molded parts, polyphenylene oxide, polycarbonate, and polyethylene.
VisionMark can often design labels and labeling systems using our existing UL® and CSA® registered constructions (UL® file number MH25268). One of our recognized constructions may be right for your application. If not, we have the experience to design an alternative construction and obtain the necessary certification. With our UL® Printers Agreement (PGAA.LP1596) we can also print your UL® Type "L" and Type "R" labels.
Our engineers and materials experts can design a label or nameplate construction that will serve your specific requirements and meet the necessary testing regimens of UL or CSA. Please contact us for additional information or assistance.
VisionMark also produces labels that comply with NFPA® 1901 and ANSI® 535.4.
