ADHESIVES

The adhesive is a critical element of a nameplate construction. The nameplate adhesive bonds the materials to the surface of a product. There are many types of adhesives, including acrylic, rubber, and thermoset/elastomeric, just to name a few. To make the proper choice, you must consider the type of surface on which the pressure sensitive label will be applied, its composition, the service environment, the temperature range it will see, the nameplate's appearance in use, and performance requirements. By choosing the correct adhesive for your application, with an appropriate balance of features, you can manufacture a dependable label and achieve the necessary performance to meet the most demanding applications.
